Jacob, over at My Personal Finance Journey invited me to guest post about the state of personal finance education here in the U.S. You can take a look at the post HERE. I was really surprised to see how little opportunity teens have to be educated on how to manage their money in school. Many are not taught at home either. My hope is that parents and educators will get more involved so that teens can avoid the enormous problems associated with credit card debt and student loan debt! Studies show that teens do want this education, but are uncertain on how to get their questions answered.
I would also like to personally thank Randy Glasbergen for allowing me to use his cartoon in the post. I am thankful for his generosity!
Hope that you all have a great day!
