Not too long ago I was invited to be on Jeff Rose’s podcast over on his site Good Financial Cents. Jeff is a great down to earth guy that I got to meet at FinCon ’13 in St. Louis. I am continually amazed at how supportive the financial blogging community is with each other and was thrilled when Jeff asked me to be on his pocast!

Jeff and his family…

The interview is up and I am excited to share it with everyone. Jeff titled it Interview With 17 Year-Old Personal Finance Blogger Eva Baker. I was a little nervous to be talking with Jeff. He probably knows more about personal finance than I will ever know and I did feel a bit silly because I still have so much to learn. We had a great time talking though and he was great.

One of the things that is really interesting about Jeff is the fact that serving in the military really turned his life around. He says that he wasn’t really going anywhere until he enlisted in the Army. Since returning from Afghanistan he has taken charge of his life, gotten his finances in order, and has a beautiful family. He now has a successful business and a great website that is truly helpful for those looking for help so be sure to take a look!

I also wanted to mention one of Jeff’s most recent posts.  How 5 Seconds (could have) Changed My Life (and still did) is about a recent experience that Jeff had while traveling for work. It is a sad story but a really important one for those who tend to put off doing things like purchasing life insurance or having an attorney write up a will.

On another note I just (literally like a minute ago) found out that another interview went up today. I have been featured over on the CouponPal.com blog. I got to know the guys over at Coupon Pal in St. Louis at FinCon and they asked to feature me on their blog. How exciting! I am grateful to have been asked and you can find the interview RIGHT HERE if you would like to take a look.

I  have to admit laughing a little bit when I was referred to as an expert – in anything! But hey – I’ll take it! Coupon Pal is a great resource if you are looking for coupons or coupon codes to your favorite stores. You just go to the site, search for the coupon you need, and they bring up the list of what they have to offer.

As Christmas approaches I am reminded of how much I have to be grateful for this past year. So many people have helped me with this TeensGotCents project. I hope that you are enjoying the holidays and are reminded of the blessings in your life as well.

be centsible,

Eva
