This blog post will take a slightly different path than the norm. In addition to shopping for the best deals everywhere, I have also been on the lookout for a career! I would like to solemnly (sorry, no. I rarely do anything solemnly.) excitedly announce that I am very soon to become a certified real estate agent! How did this come about? Well, I will tell you.
You see, I need money. I am still teaching music lessons at my little studio, The Belle Canto Studio, but need a job that is consistent, brings in more income and (of course!) is rather fun. So, I decided that I would stride down the path to buying and selling real estate. I will give you a few more reasons that led me to my decision, so take note! You may also realize this could be the profession for you:
- I love people.
- I love networking.
- I love promoting, researching and “selling” ideas.
- My personality (defined by the DISC test) is a high DI. That means that I’m comfortable being a “leader” and making decisions, I’m enthusiastic, optimistic and work great with people!
- Real estate is a great profession for those who have their hands in a lot of “pots.” For me this includes ministry and music.
- My family has been in the construction and real estate businesses for decades. I have all the richness of experience and wisdom surrounding me…knowledge that I can glean from as I continue in the family legacy.
I am quite excited about this adventure. And you know what? I will get to assist my clients in finding great deals! This will be “thrifty shopping” to the max. Shopping on a much greater scale than discounted blouses at Goodwill. I will be able to use my skill at “sniffing out a good deal” on a much larger scale! Real estate careers offer a lot and I hope that you will explore your options as you join me on my adventure this fall!
Is your interest piqued? If so, I’d love to hear your thoughts. Also, if you would like to gain insight about your personality strengths, take this free personality test!
