It’s that time of year again, Thanksgiving is just around the corner and all the wonderful food along with it. The thermometer is starting to drop, (Florida is the special case of not really), and the sweaters are starting to be taken out of their hiding places. Right after thanksgiving we get the biggest shopping/craziness/deals of the year, Black Friday. The great American almost-get-killed-materialistic-I-must-have-that day of the year, it’s kinda sad but also kinda great. It’s a time when companies put products on sale to hopefully sell a ton since so many people are in the buying spirit. I usually don’t buy much on Black Friday since it can be dangerous to your budget. But if you’re out shopping on Black Friday there are some tech categories you should count on to have their prices lowered. This is your tech lineup of popular items, well at least it’s mine!
Gaming:
The most popular gaming systems (I know you will probably have at least one family member wanting one of these) are the Playstation 4 and the Xbox One. Both bring in the next gen gaming to the market and can create an amazing, highly detailed version of the games we’ve known. I would expect to see some sort of deal on both of these products on Black Friday and afterwards but can’t guarantee a huge drop since they are both brand new. Both products cost $399 and $499 respectively, so really look for those deals!
Audio:
This is my favorite section and probably one of the top wishes I have for Christmas are audio products. If you read The Best Buy With Mike then you know I’m a huge Beats by Dr. Dre fan. I hope none of you forgot about Dre! There are plenty of companies out there that sell great headphones but the Beats line wins in the looks and quality market. Most people who are serious about their audio and are serious about their headphones are going to have one of the Beats products at the top of their wish list. As we all know Beats aren’t cheap so Black Friday is a good day to go out and see if you can find deals, and there’s a very good chance you will.
Camera:
I covered the GoPro Hero line of cameras not too long ago and GoPro’s are becoming the cameras of the future. Maybe (and hopefully) they will be on sale this Black Friday. If you are searching for something like a DSLR it might be more difficult to find because cameras that aren’t as popular to the average consumer tend not to have the best sales on Black Friday. Definitely keep your eyes open though and do your research because you never know!
Final Word:
If someone this year really wants some new tech, go in and learn about the product in the store beforehand and then just buy it on Amazon from the comfort of your home! There is a good chance that the most popular items will be found on Amazon or you can snag it on the store’s own website. If you’re someone who doesn’t like shopping (on any day) look to Amazon but make sure you buy from legitimate, highly rated sellers or even Amazon themselves. You could save yourself a lot of time, money AND avoid Black Friday shopping injuries by shopping online.
